NutriLab.ge is not a medical institution and does not provide medical care. Information you receive on the Platform (nutrition plan, workout program, calculated figures) is a general, algorithmically generated recommendation based on public scientific guidelines, and it does not, under any circumstances, replace consultation with, diagnosis by, or treatment prescribed by a physician, dietitian, or other qualified professional.
The Platform includes a built-in safety mechanism that automatically blocks plan generation in certain cases — not because your condition is “wrong,” but because a general, non-individualized algorithm can never be sufficiently safe in a specific medical context without a physician's involvement.
The block applies to: age under 18, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a history of eating disorders, cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled hypertension, and acute injury. This list is not arbitrary, and it is never relaxed on request or to make a test pass — only after consultation with a dietitian.
Some other answers (for example, diabetes) do not fully block the plan but flag it for manual review by a dietitian before a final recommendation is issued.
The Platform never issues a daily calorie target below 1200 kcal for women or 1500 kcal for men — regardless of your desired rate of deficit. This threshold is based on clinical standards and can only be safely gone below under a physician's direct supervision, not through our Platform.
Similarly, the calorie target is never set below your estimated basal metabolic rate (BMR).
The estimate of calories burned during exercise is informational only and is never added to your daily nutrition target. This is a deliberate design decision: the “eat more because you exercised” compensatory logic carries a risk of disordered eating, and the Platform deliberately avoids it.
Basal metabolic rate (BMR), total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), macronutrient distribution, and the estimated timeline to reach your goal are calculated using standard, publicly validated formulas (e.g., Mifflin-St Jeor, Katch-McArdle). These are estimates, not precise individual measurements — actual figures depend on factors the Survey cannot measure (hormonal status, genetics, medications).
“Metabolic age” is an illustrative figure and is not a clinical diagnostic measure.
Exercising at home carries a risk of injury, especially with incorrect technique or a pre-existing condition (a joint or spine issue, a recent injury). If you experience acute pain, dizziness, or difficulty breathing while exercising, stop immediately and seek medical attention if needed.
The workout program is built around movement patterns and takes into account the physical limitations you provide, but it does not replace an assessment by a physiotherapist or sports medicine physician where an existing injury or chronic condition is involved.
We recommend consulting a physician or dietitian before starting your plan if: you regularly take any medication; you have a chronic condition (including diabetes); you are pregnant or breastfeeding; you have a history of an eating disorder, even in the past; you have had a recent injury or surgery; or you suspect that the Platform's general recommendation may not be suitable for your specific situation.
The entire safety mechanism depends on the information you provide in the Survey being accurate. If you conceal or misstate health-related information, the safety block cannot activate where it would have been needed. Responsibility for accuracy rests with you.
The Platform is not intended for emergency medical situations. If you or someone near you needs emergency medical assistance, call 112 immediately or go to the nearest medical facility.
